Asana is one of our favorite project management tools due to its work efficiency, intuitive management environment, and flexible collaboration options.
Asana's pretty straightforward when creating your account - you can create workspaces, projects, tasks, teams, tags and so on. But sometime our work require us to insert specific information which is contained in custom fields. Up until this point Cloudpipes recognized only the standard fields like workspace, project, assignee, notes and so forth. Any additional fields that you might have created in Asana were not visible in Cloudpipes. Until now. Thanks to increased demand, and our continuous efforts to improve our product, we now offer the possibility to insert custom fields when creating or updating an Asana task.
Here's how to do that.
For the purpose of this blogpost we created a new project, and added three custom field (as seen below).
As you can see from the screenshot, the first custom field is textual, the second is numerical, and the third is an object.
We created a simple pipeline that triggers every time a task is updated, and then sends a desktop notification. As you can see our three custom fields are now visible and accessible via Cloudpipes.
To use them simply drag&drop the custom fields in the desired pipe. In our case that pipe is Send A Notification from our built-in Desktop Notification channel.
Now it's easier than ever before to use Asana custom fields when creating your pipeline in Cloudpipes. Go ahead and try it. You'll see how simple it is.
Custom fields are just one of many Asana features that we integrated in Cloudpipes. If you think we missed something or you want to suggest one, let us know by sending us a message!
